Since they are originally a dipole custom designed woofer, why not use them for IB? I have a set of 8 as i don't use these speakers anymore (1 ribbon is not working right ) and I have a pair of SoundLab A1's now..
I tried to find the original specs on them, here's what I found:
Specifications-
Power capacity: 90W/180W RMS/peak Frequency response: 20 ~ 3,000 Hz Nominal impedance: 3.2 Ω Voice coil diameter: 1" Magnet weight: 20 oz. Sensitivity: 82 dB W/M Fs: 28.5 Hz Re: 3.5 Ω Qms: 4.03 Qes: 4.03 Qts: 2.0 Vas: 355 L Mms: n/a g BL: n/a Xmax: 12 mm
Using the formula vas x drivers (8) x 20 divided by 28.4 I come up with 2,000 cubic feet. I can mount these low in the front wall and behind that wall is my 4 seasons enclosed, fully insulated and windowed porch with a total CF over 3,500.
I tried to find the FAQ.. Can someone point me the right way to figure out how to do this? I haven't figured out how to power it up yet. Maybe 2 Electro Voice CPS 4.5's?
Crossover set points and DSP with my DEXQ HDP-5
FWIW: I use a vintage Bag End Infrasub 18 with my 'Labs right now and it sounds pretty good. I jus wanna either sell or use these Carver's as they are taking up a lot of storage space.
Thank you in advance!

The specs tell the story and they're certainly designed for 'woofer' use not for subwoofer use.
Putting them in an IB will destroy them, so IMO the best thing would be to sell them
