How many drivers and which one is good for this 100m2 room?

Hi everybody,

I have a quite big room (actually it will be a small live music space inside my house). The total area is roughly 100 m2 with 6m ceiling high and max length 16.6m, max width 8.5m.

I dont seek for low bass extension. I seek for ultra clean, low distortion and really fast bass transient from 40Hz to 120Hz. Expected average SPL for music playback and performing in the room from 90dB to 100dB SPL. This room is a small live music venue, the music styles are popular genres. It is not bar or club so extremely high SPL is not neccessary.

I tend to use Line Array speaker with this IB sub.

I read that I have to find drivers with high Xmax and low Fs. But in my place, I only can access to Eminence drivers which the highest Xmax model is just roughly 11mm (the Imperor 18A I believe).

The already availabe options are: 
1. Eminence Alpha 15A and 12A
2. Eminence Delta-12LFA
3. Eminence Deltalite II 2512
4. Eminence Kilomax Pro-18A
5. Eminence Imperor 18A

The dealer said they can provide other models from Eminence, too. 

Which model should I choose and how many? I think 15 or 18 inch driver maybe good for my space, but I cant decide because I have no experience with IB sub. I want to have 4-6 drivers because limited space to mount them.

Hi

Given you room size and the passband you want to cover an IB sub isn't really the best choice.

Using a horn loaded design will give the most output. You'll probably need several given the room size

Thank you for your reply. I will try to find some good horn sub design for this space. Will horn sub design provide comparable transient quality with IB sub in this room?
