I just installed the room EQ software, so that I can begin testing of my room acoustics and hopefully start my IB installation soon. My question is: After reading about the software my understanding is that I need a sound card with left and right line inputs as well as outputs. Is this correct? I can only find ones that have one line input and one mic input. Can anyone recommend a good external (usb) sound card for under $50 that is compatible with this software? Thanks.

Most sound cards (built in as well as external) have stereo inputs and outputs... The plug that goes into the input of the computer, has to be a stereo 1/8" mini-plug which has two plastic rings at the tip. These separate Left and Right channels...
To use a regular RCA, you can make your own adapter or buy a premade "Stereo RCA Female to Stereo1/8 Male mini plug audio cable"
My local surplus electronics store has them for <2$cnd... and you'll need 2 of them. Rob
