Last night I noticed that everything was off on the BFD except the filter lights I never turn it or the sub off. I pushed a few buttons and turned some dials and got nothing so I powered down then back on and everything is back to normal. Thomas, you mentioned something your BFD does that you cure by on/off. Why does this happen, just curious.

I have no idea why this occurs.
It happened more often with my older DSP1100P. It happens (rarely) with my current 1124P. It's never occurred with my FBQ2496 or DEQ2496. So it must have something to do with the chip sets in the machines.
In Colo we have a lot of lightning and weird power situations (brown-out, etc). Those almost always triggered the BFD to go into the all lights flashing mode. This in spite of having massive amounts of power conditioning.
So it's a mystery to me.....

My BFD 1124 has done this about 3 times in the last year. I never turn it off but those 3 times I've fired up the home theater and noticed the BFD is off even though the power button is still pressed in. I press it once to turn it off and then back on and it works as usual. Quirky unit.
