This is an interesting device... www.audiocircle.com/circles/index.php?topic=45836.msg410590;topicseen#newCheck it out and see what you think... it adds a lot of useful subwoofer features that those of us with prosound amps don't get. The main draw back is that it only has 4 bands of parametric EQ. Since most of us already have a BFD, that shouldn't be a problem. The fact that it also corrects for phase, has low pass and high pass adjustible filters, a Linkwist transform circuit and a room measurement system w/mic is pretty impressive. It's not cheap ($300-$350), but it could really help integrating our subs with the rest of our systems. And, for those intersted in trying a layout recommended by the Harman white paper (like one manifold centered in the front and one centered in the back), this may be all you need.

Yours truly is in line to be a beta tester for that product once they've finished writing the software ... Once mine's in hand I'll post my impressions of it...

Now that is good to hear . If an OEM wanted to, do you think they could add more bands of EQ? Knowing as much about you as one can from this forum, my guess is you've already addressed that issue. It's particularly assuring that someone intimately involved with IBs is a beta tester. I'm sure plenty of us will be waiting for your response. Do you have an approximate time frame?

If an OEM wanted to, do you think they could add more bands of EQ? If it were redesigned. That's not going to happen with the DIY Cable device I wasn't involved in the hardware R&D. I was just asked to beta test the software and make sure the device was user friendly. Mid to late Oct or early Nov....Since Kevin is posting software screen shots it maybe sooner rather than later, but I don't know.

Great. Thanks for the quick response. This really could make a big difference for IBs... especially those that are forced into less than ideal locations . I'll be sure to check back for your impressions .

Looking around the forums and look what I find. I'll answer questions if you guys have something specific. The final design will probably offer at least one more band of PEQ. We can shuffle the software such that we can reconfigure for more, but you would have to sacrifice some of the other functions to continue to gain more PEQ bands. How many bands do you need in just a couple octaves? You guys are hard core!
