I have a Samson S1000 connected to the low-pass output of my home theater amp via an rca cable and rca-xlr adapter plugs. I am getting very low volume compared to the 200 watt plate amp I had been using, even with the gain all the way up, so I suspect that the incoming signal is too weak for this amp. Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a device I could use to boost the signal?

Thanks for the link, Thomas. My sub out has .8 volts, and the only info I can find on the S1000 says that it needs "0dBu minimum to achieve full output". Not sure I understand that specification...as far as I can tell, one dBu=.775volts. I'm puzzled, but thanks for the info-maybe I'll try the cleanbox and see what happens.
