Thanks sonicyellow I know of this device but have elected to go a different route and buy some variable phase sub amps off an amp manufacturer who has helped me out earlier

i am aslo interested in doing something similar. I do alot of 2-channel listening, and want to keep my mains and their dedicated subs tuned in for that, however id like a little more low end for movies and such, so i am contemplating doing an IB in the rear of the room for theater only. i played with some placement with an extra ML Descent i have, and position wise, its perfect. im mainly worried about 2 things
1. Vibrating the projector mounted on the ceiling.
2. Getting carried away, which i am famous for. Im thinking a 4-18 set-up....but im not sure yet.

There's a 4-18" ceiling mounted IB, the outlet is located between a CRT FP and the screen. He hasn't reported any problems.
Some have reported issues with front IB's causing pressure waves in the screens. Beyond that no one has said much about IB's causing problems with projectors.

I have a wall mounted digi pj directly above my floor mounted rear IB - no video vibration discernable 2. I don't think that is getting carried away - seems in keeping with the rest of your gear from what I can see Just do it!

Hi All
Haven't been back here for a while. Someone asked me today abvout doing an IB, so I looked up 'the Cult' myself and passed it on to him
Anyway, the review which I never did here was:
The 2nd IB worked great, no issues, added that extra 10% to the experience. Until I broke it with dB racing on the 1812 digital cannons. that was a few years back now
I bought replacement drivers but they are still sitting in my garage
I found one IB manifold was more than adequate. When running 2, the second one was too near the neighbours house and they called the EPA on me twice. So I turned it off
Those neighbours have since gone - but as I lost interest in HT, and my new 2ch mains went flat to 20HZ I saved power and turned off the IB mostly, unless someone specifically wanted to watch a movie in 2.1.
These days, even the 2ch music listening has waned, and the audio system serves daily duties as a 120" television.... oops
That said, if my wife ever makes me look at shifting house, I'd still put a show stopper caveat in that the next house must be able to accomodate an IB in the main entertainment room. No question.
Cheers guys Norpus (Melbourne Australia)

Come on Norpus! Keep saying it until the illicit thrill comes back..."IB IB IB"
Even if just in TV mode the IB can still be fun. Lately I've been catching up with GoT and Penny Dreadful and both of these have ample servings of thumps and booms and low portentious rumbles. Just the title sequence to GoT is enough to scare the cats out of the lounge room.

I have sold the house with the original 2x18” IB. Move out Mar 20 2018 after 24 years there. The IB is still the best bass available IMHO.
I physically removed the 2nd IB (2x15” Tempest) from the floor and patched the floor prior to house sale We will not be buying another house just yet, as we have bought a motorhome to do a few laps of Australis over the next 2 years. Isn’t early retirement grand!
I am now selling the IB manifold along with 2x15” unused Tempest X drivers Also have a Behringer amp and a FBQ2496 to go with it
Will be on ebay Australia shortly for a quick sale. Any offers?
