Hello Cult! I have included a layout pic of my HT with the current subs in the purple boxes. I put a sub in my equipment room, firing through the wall, because my 2nd row viewers had some horrendous notches in the 40-55Hz range. It helped that problem tremendously. However, its a small skinny room that now has a big box in the way.I was wondering if I could do a 2 x 18" or 3 x 15" IB back there and get the same beneficial results. It's about 240 cu. ft total, with double drywall/greenglue. Will the door be an issue? Would love your opinions on how it might mix with other subs in the room as well. Thanks.

Hi,
The integration will depend on your ability to adjust phase. If you can't adjust phase it will sound like what you have with the test box, only the IB will go lower.
Plan on the door rattling so you'll need some foam weather stripping tape or similar to tame them.

Thanks Thomas--I do have a DCX2496 I could use for phase control. I did notice that the subs there in the back now had to be 180 out of phase with the fronts for best sound. The door is already gasketed and holds tight. With 2 of the Fi Car IB18's, I would be less than 10X VAS in that small room, but not too much less. I think I may give it a try.
