I reciently bought 4 x Exodus Tempest-X 15" drivers. I'm going to build a line array porting down under the house. I hadn't really considered my other speakers in the mix and i won't be changing them. I have 3 x LCRs. M&K s150 THX monitors. These little babies sound great! Bright, dynamic and just great for movies., so i think anyway I may be panicing for no reason but they are pretty small ( 13" x13"x13") and have no really bottom end. Is there going to be a massive gap in the middle or will they marry well together?

It's impossible to reply because I have no idea what you're talking about. What's a 13" cube got to do with anything? How can you have made a mistake going with an IB when you haven't built an IB?

Is there going to be a massive gap in the middle or will they marry well together? A successful marriage is a meeting somewhere in the middle. Which suggests that your IB should be placed centrally between your main speakers to ensure a potentially high crossover frequency does not intrude on the bass imagery.

ummmm....sorry about the poor explanation. I really shouldn't have been posting so late with that many drinks under my belt. I'm glad someone understood my ramblings.

I'm going to be using 2 x M&K SW-150's with 3 x M&K SW95's with my IB so look forward to the outcome of this thread.

My Polk speakers aren't fantastic low down performers but they sound great with my centrally located IB, though it does smear the stereo imaging a bit. If your mains can make it down to 120-100 hz then the IB will handle the rest. I like to cross at 80 or 100 hz for movies, 60 hz when I am listening to music. The lower crossover gives me better stereo imaging and reduces the punch in the chest that you get from 60-80hz(which is great for movies however)
