I'm in the process of building a pair of Orion clones with dual Dayton RS HiFi12 woofers per speaker. These will be used in my critical listening room, as a I have a pair of line arrays in my theater. I have 3 Atlas 15 drivers laying around and was wondering if I could do an IB with only 3 drivers? Have two firing into each other and have the 3rd woofer at the "bottom" of the manifold, firing up. Is this feasible? Or would I be better off building a dipole sub with two of them to really help the low end of my Orion clones and selling the 3rd? Right now I'm only using a dual sealed Shiva in my theater and I get just about enough output from that, so I'm thinking 3 Atlas in IB could be enough.
Thanks!

I don't see why not... although i would recommend two drivers firing into each other and the third at the back of the manifold, firing foward. I don't believe the Atlas driver's sag was designed for a downfiring (or UP-firing). Rob
