I'm considering helping a friend build an IB, since I'm not really allowed to in my home. So, he's looking at drivers and a vacuumer for a "good" deal on ebay. He's found some 18" Definitive Technology drivers and I was curious how they'd perform in an IB setup: Re 37.5 ohm Fs 21 hz Qts .310 Qes .334 Qms 4.406 Le 10.49mh They obviously have a high impedance, but with 8 of them in parallel, it'd be about 5ohms nominal. Anything else that looks horrible? I don't have an xMax #. For their cost of $65/ea incl ship, they're cheap! Thanks for y'alls help. -Tim

The T/S parameters are so bizarre I can't imagine they're real. If they are real I can't imagine anyone wanting the drivers for any reason.

Definitely ODD numbers. So if you're going to run 8 18's which will give you similar output/performance of 4 15's, where's the benefit other than to say "Damn! I gots 8 18's!"?? I would rather have true IB drivers for a similar investment and not have to have a godly large manifold. Just me and I'm definitely a novice so maybe I'm wrong in thinking this...
