ThomasW, your probably the last one anyone here wants to upset, and I thought about posting this in my thread, but decided to post it in the amplifiers section as this is a general questing and will probably end up going with the ep4000 anyways. So please excuse me if you preferred to have this in my project thread and feel free to move it there if you deem it necessary OK I was looking at the Behringer web site and noticed there were a few amps that were almost the same. If they are all right around the same price which one would you get for 4 x FI318s? EPQ2000 www.behringer.com/EN/Products/EPQ2000.aspxEPX2000 www.behringer.com/EN/Products/EPX2000.aspxEP2000 www.behringer.com/EN/Products/EP2000.aspxNow I know the EP2500 (AKA EP4000) is the amp of choice, I just chose the 3 above since they are all "rated" as the same wattage. Now the EP series has a single fan where as the EPX has two and EPQ does not appear to have any fan (although I could be wrong) Is there something really big and fundamentally different between the different series that I am missing? Does everyone choose the EP series because its the best bang for the buck or are the feature set of the other two just unused when placed in an IB setup? So many questions...so little sleep Thanks UnkleGpants

Without doing a ton of research it appears the EPX & EPQ are using switching power supplies. Both have some kind of built-in crossover and both are fan cooled.
People chose the standard EP series because they're proven performers, with a good track history of reliability.
For 4 Fi IB18"s I'd use a EP4000
