Don't get too depressed with your present results. Wait until you have a frequency curve to see exactly what is happening in your room. REW and EQ-ing can become a complete hobby in itself. Just ask my wife! ;D LOL.. I hope its not too difficult to learn. Just waiting for the spl meter and the cables for the pc.

This is with the main speakers "OFF" only the sub on. Well done! Can you do a sweep with the SPL meter just inside the mouth of the manifold? We need a nearfield curve to check what the room is doing to your response. It also helps us to check nothing is untoward with your testing procedure. You can also stretch the graph limits down 5 or 10Hz. It looks strong, low down (as you said earlier) but you have chopped off the curve a bit early to see what is really happening. As you have a ceiling manifold you may have to fix the SPL meter to a broom handle with a rubber band, or three. Or perhaps put it in a fishing net if you have one? Then hold that up to the manifold. A helper could stand on a chair with the meter held up to the manifold just while you run the sweep. You ought to start your own thread in the Projects section now so we can put all the information together for those researching ceiling IBs.

Cheers, Chrisbee. Ok ill get that spl meter in that manifold later on and post the results. This time starting at 5hz. Ill also get some help (not the misus ) to hold that meter while a start the sweep test. "As you suggested ill link this thread to another thread which ill start in "projects" section, titled: "New IB ceiling build"
