Hi, in the process of putting together the home theater and I can't help the desire to add some IB subs. Theater is in the basement, unable to place them above the theater(master bedroom) or box them in the theater and vent upwards(ceiling height). I don't believe placing them horizontally between the 16" OC joists would work as there would be a substantial length(8') before they open into an open area. This leaves me with a side wall mount. If I do not place any type of door at the rear of the theater, will this configuration provide sufficient front and rear wave isolation? Theater room is 14.6' wide, 19' long, that should give you an idea of the size of space I`m dealing with. I am attaching 3 pictures. Two black circles on the far right is where I would place the subs. Appreciate any advice. Thanks Kevin

Hi,
There would be adequate isolation for the theater area.
If the HT was operating and someone was sitting and looking at the fireplace, they'd experience weird null from the front and rear waves meeting
