I am considering a two FI IB318 sub setup for home theater use. I already have a Crown XLS 1500 amp (rated at 300W/ch x 2 @ 8ohm, 525W/ch x 2 @ 4ohm, 775W/ch x 2 @ 2ohm, 1050W/ch x 1 @ 8ohm, 1550W/ch x 1 @ 4ohm). What are the advantages/disadvantages of wiring the subs as follows: two 2ohm subs in series wired to amp in bridged mode (1550W); two 2ohm subs wired separately to each channel (775W to each); two 4ohm subs wired in series to amp in bridged mode (1050W)? I know the last scenario is easier on the amp (less current draw), but what kind of difference in output could I expect? Is there a significant difference between the first 2 scenarios? BTW, my room will be in a basement (on slab) with 2x4 walls (offset from foundation walls by 1"foam). Drivers will be mounted in a 2x4 wall separating the basement (1/3 storage area, 2/3 HT room). The HT room dimensions will be approx 13' D x 18' W. Thanks!

Buy the 4 ohm drivers, wire one driver to each channel and you're good to go.
Strapping the amp doubles the distortion.
Things are better when drivers are not wired in series
