Caught wind of IB a few months ago and considering taking on the new project, my question is do you think I would benefit enough to go through the effort.
I have a 2 foot false wall.
Room 17x14x11
2 full Martys with 18” drivers
Fronts are PSA MTM 210
I have the option to use as open space behind the false wall, use the garage behind the room (behind the wall). I would be able to center them as needed. I could make a couple manifolds to use also.
I am pretty happy with the Martys. Would going with 4X IB setup be an upgrade? With the false wall does it make more sense to run an array or go manifolds? Thank you!

Hi and welcome....
Do your Martys have the Dayton UML18-20 drivers?
If so build a manifold and compare.
An IB will give you the same great transient response of your Marty, but the IB will plumb depths you've never heard with the Marty.

One of them has a FaitalPRO 18" driver and the other a B&C 18DS. I believe they both outperform the ULM18.

For use in an IB we need drivers with a tremendous amount of Xmax. Your B&C 18DS has 14.4mm of Xmax and are fine for use in a Marty. The Fi drivers we typicially use in an IB have 30mm of Xmax.
You could use your drivers in a test manifold but you'd need to be very careful not to bottom them out

Thanks, I did not think i would be able to test with my current drivers. That would be great to get a feel that way.
