I would like to know how to place an order also but I can't get anyone at Fi to return my e-mails!!! That's odd because others have been communicating with them via email on a regular basis. What email addy are you using to contact them?

Hi Thomas,
Knowing that both the AE IB 15's and the Fi IB 15's are very new, are there any advantages of one vs. the other? Cost for 4 are about the same. $400 vs. $440. Thanks.
You run a great forum. I'm learning a tremendous amount about IB systems.

Qts seems to be rather high on these drivers.
Any thoughts on this related to IBs?

For decades the 'old-school' thinking on IB/OB woofers was they should have a Qts 0f 0.69
Personally I'd rather have a Qts closer to 0.5, but hey that's just my preference.
Looking at the woofers Siegfried Linkwitz chooses for in his OB Orion design their Qts is 0.17, so obviously none of this is etched in stone.
Given the very low prices for these drivers, I don't think the slightly higher Qts is cause for concern.

Thomas is the 15" a dual voice driver with 2 ohm voice coils? Any other coil choices available? Any idea on the power rating or what is recommend for an IB application?
Thanks Cal

Thomas is the 15" a dual voice driver with 2 ohm voice coils? It's a single 2 ohm VC driver. The idea is buy 4, put 2 drivers in parallel on each channel of a stereo amp. Not that I'm aware of Don't know. Obviously Scott wouldn't design an IB specific driver if it wasn't to our operational needs.

I assume you meant wiring the speakers in series to net 4 ohms, as not too many amps can tolerate a 1 ohm input? Or perhaps a series parallel combo consisting of 4 drivers which would net 2 ohms.
I was actually planning on driving 2 wired in series with my Bash 500 amps which can only go down to 4 ohms. So im looking at getting a total of 4 of these.

Is this 600 watts per driver needed, or for a group of 4? It's describing the operation of a single driver in a specific circumstance, but it's not saying one needs 2400 watts to operate 4 drivers.

I need to replace 2 classic Tempests in my rear IB
