I havent heard anyone mentioning anything about the Samson brand of amps. If anyone has any experience with these amps i would love to hear some opinions. Thanks

I know that SVS sells them with their unpowered cylinder subs and claims their multi-speed fans are quiet. Most folks here tend to shy away from them since they are not 2-ohm stable (nor are they 4-ohm stable bridged). That means fewer wiring options. Plus the Nady and Behringer options seem to provide more bang for the buck.
For those less concened about cost and more concerned about quality, the QSC and Crown amps would seem to be a better choice.

Samson has what I think might be a relatively new line called the SX - there's a 1200, 1800, and 2400. They seem comparable to any others on paper, but do appear to be a bit higher in price.

I use a Samson S700 w/ my IB and I love it. It's completely silent and powers my 4xAE IB15 w/ ease... 350W to each 4 ohm pair.

I also have the S700 and it powers two 18" Avalanche drivers (4 Ohms each so 350 watts per sub). It is very quiet, but I need more power. The clip light flickered last night during LOTR FOTR. That in its own right isn't a big deal, but they weren't playing crazy loud, they weren't moving all that much, and I don't have an EQ yet. As such, I don't think I have enough power in reserve to boost the lower frequencies despite the drivers potential to move more air. I don't think it's a damning criticism of the amp, just an indicator of the drivers' ablity to take punishment.
