l run an ep2500 to 4 ava 18's and am running them at 225w max each atm ( 8 ohm stereo output )......l reckon if you can give them a clean 300w each that'd be sweet .....l'm getting enough output atm but might do a test soon with the amp bridged to see how that goes too , how do you like the ava's in your ib ?? l still have to eq mine ( got some guys on another forum who might be coming up to help out with all their knowlege and gear for a gtg )....let us know what you end up getting mate Cheers Ken

Technically yes you'd have way too much power, since IB's don't need kilowatts like smallish sealed boxes. If I remember correctly Chad did recommend something like 600watt/driver. But I think that was more like a Pmax for IB use. So I think you could choose a more modest amp and save a bit of cash.

with 500 wats total from 1 channel of my samsung amp it can get insaneley loud but i can hear them say we want more when i do ulf.
my room is flat and has maybe a 1-2 db hump in some areas. but i have slab on grade concrete walls and floor and tile/carpet layed over the floor. the subs sit in the lonf wall in the middle at floor level.

Why don't you look around for something in the approx 2000 watt range. That's under the Pmax of the 4 drivers and should give you a ton of output
