Hi all, I have four AEIB15's & a velodyne sms-1 in preparation for my ib subwoofer my attention now is to select the best amp i can afford,i know alot of people use the behringer ep2500 but i am prepared to spend a bit more,so far i am considering the Crown xls-802 or Qsc rmx-2450 both around the same price. Any advice is very welcome thanks, jason

The Behringer is a virtual copy of QSC. I don't know much about the low end Crowns.
In IB use I doubt there's an audible difference between any of them. So if you want the prestige and warranty of Crown or QSC name get one of them, otherwise save your money and get the Behringer.
If one brand offers better service locally, that should factor into the decision...

Thanks Thomas, went ahead with the QSC rmx-2450 in the end as a friend of mine works for a pro audio company & they use them all the time, got me a great deal on it too

Thomas,
"The Behringer is a virtual copy of QSC."
The Behringer EP2500 is quite a bit cheaper than the QSC. Does this imply that Behringer uses lower quality components? I am in the market for an amp to power four AE IB 15's. Thanks.

Does this imply that Behringer uses lower quality components? It doesn't imply anything. It's a simple statement of fact. My guess is an amp costing double that of the Behringer is built better or has higher marketing costs. Obviously one pays more for the QSC 6yr warranty Dozen and dozens of people are using Behringer amps. Their reliability for home audio seems just fine.

I can add that Nady and Tapco are well suited to our use in IB as well as pro sound.
Both my Nady's and Tapco's are stable into 2 ohms. A must for what I am doing.

I take it that the Face F1200 TS would be way overkill for the 4 x 15 AE IB's application. That sure looks like a nice amp though compare to the Behringer.

Sure it's way more than what's needed, but the price difference between the 1200 and the smaller amps was such that the 1200 seemed like the best long term investment.
