Hi All, I posted this over at the AVS forum and they said to post over here because of my setup. Please see the pics below. People are saying to build an IB subwoofer set up.. Take a look and give me your thoughts. I am also looking for direction on how to build, what are the best drivers and how to "port" the sub into the room. THanks Chris

Considering that you want to floor mount, it is possible to use a line array as a sort of bass shaker system. You can use an inny or outy manifold to take advantage of mechanical cancellation if you wish. These designs can both work quite well when implemented properly. Some drivers to consider: Mach5 Mj-18, they may be out of stock at the moment, but can be a deal depending where you are. www.mach5audio.comFicaraudio Fi Q series and the Ssd series drivers, usually the 18 inch version as they move more more air. www.ficaraudio.comVery nice drivers for a little more $$, the soundsplinter Rl-p and RL-s series drivers are a possibility as well. www.soundsplinter.comStill relatively unused in the IB community, the famous speaker building company has now begun selling their drivers direct. The Tc-2000 driver line has seen great sucsees in other subwoofer designs and their drivers can be considered seriously as candidates. For you IB. www.tcsounds.comTo be able to say what drivers and how many to get, we need to know the dimensions of the room, and your desired listeneing level, dictance to listening position from sub, and desire for ludicrous levels of infrabass... ;D -How many cubic feet is the under floor space? Are you ccap on the avs forum too? I an having trouble finding the thread over there..
