I just got approval to add a new sub into the living room but the catch is I have to put it into the fireplace. We can not use the fireplace for a fire because the floo is too small and we are not about to install a gas burner. Anyway I either am going to build a ported enclosure in it or maybe try to fit in an IB system. Is this even possible to fit something of the sort in there? The dimensions are 32" wide 25" high and 36" deep at the bottom and 29" deep at the top. How large of an opening into chimney is required for the IB. Or should I not worry and go for a ported enclosure inside?

I just read it before I read the post. Sorry for the trouble. I will see if I can talk the wife into cutting a hole in the ceiling.
