Guess I better start a thread about this before someone decides to post on another forum and claim they 'discovered' it..... Years ago when I was corresponding with Tom Nousaine the topic of the conversation turned to EQ. At the time he was running a Symetrix 515 these have 10Hz as the lowest hinge point. TN discovered one could set a pair of filters at 10Hz dial in boost and the hinge point lowered to 8Hz. For most people this isn't something of interest since most aren't running subs with enough displacement to take advantage of boost this low. ChrisBe has a very lossy room and need more low end 'umph' than a single filter could provide, so he tried this method with is BFD. Here's the thread he started with plots of what happens when this technique is used..... ibsubwoofers.proboards51.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1174899988
