I have built many I.B. systems but this one is the most awesome that I have ever had. My rotary subwoofer, the TRW-17, made buy Eminent Technology is simply amazing at what it can achieve. I built the enclosure, which is 8' long x 4' wide x 4' high and the opening into my room is 4' x 4'. I have owned this rotary subwoofer for over 2 years and, quite simply, no conventional speaker can do what this sub does. Response is from 25 hz down to below 1 hz with near perfect transient response. My room is 29' long x 19' wide x 11' high cathedral ceiling and utilizes 36 ASC tube traps, 24 are large 16", 20" bass traps and the rest are mid range traps. I use far less than the maximum output and because of this the distortion is extremely low with headroom to spare. Attachments:

A picture of the opening for the rotary woofer into my room. When playing the recording of the Apollo 13 takeoff, my doors move back and forth 1/2", and the frequency is below 5 hz!!!!!!! Attachments:

The speakers I use in conjunction with the rotary subwoofer. Martin Logan Summits (woofers not used) along side of Magneplanar Tympani IV bass panels (modified xover and the bass panels are bolted together and to the floor. This combination works absolutely fantastic; coherent, powerful with impact, ambience and depth that is outstanding. I have been involved with audio for 50 years and this speaker system rivals some of the best available. Attachments:

Getting great bass requires not only requires very good acoustics (many large bass traps) but isolation of all equipment. My equipment cabinet is sand filled and rests on a separate concrete foundation. All the power amplifiers are in a control room located behind this equipment cabinet on the same concrete foundation. It's really impressive. I just wish the costs were not so prohibitive on the rotary subs. Hopefully just like anything the costs will start coming down

i wouldn't expect much lower pricing since the mechanism is hand machined.
Actually the price has come down. Originally Bruce wouldn't sell a DIY version, I'm glad he's changed his mind.

Thanks: The projector is a Barco Graphics 808 utilizing a HD Fury III and Gamma X for a wonderful HD picture.
