Hi all. I haven't been here since the old forums. These are much nicer to navigate! Nice. I have been using 4-15" parts express ib woofers for about 1.5 years with awesome results. I am much more focused on the ht aspect than 2 channel stuff these days. I recently upgraded to a used h/k 7200 receiver and now find my self wanting to get more output from my ib array to keep up at the highest volume levels. Can anyone suggest something for me to check out. Looking for good "value" in a 15" ib sub. Im currently using 2 250W pe plate amps to run 4 15's wired down in parallel to 4 ohms per channel. And gains have been matched using an o-scope. Current volumes are definitely reasonable but wouldn't a higher xmax sub get just a bit more db's to keep up with the mains? TIA ps I love the fact there is spell check now

Hi and welcome back...
Things are a little weird right now so there's a lack of drivers that are better than what you have, unless you want to pay $250ea or more...
In a couple of months John J will have a new shipment of AV15"s. Those should be under $200ea and will probably the the new best buy...
But understand generally speaking prices are going up not down...
Also PE has a new line of Reference Series drivers. Currently the biggest is a 12", but there's a 15" in the works. That might be worth waiting for..

Wow as always ThomasW with the first and most informative reply. Thank you Thomas! If that is the current situation with ib sub choices maybe I'll mess around with some of pe's 500W plate amps or some other amps to come closer to the rated rms of what I have. Thanks again Thomas
