The VAS is a little big, the $ per displaced volume is a bit high, the Xmax is fair, the qts is good, the Fs is even better and the Le is great. All in it seems to be a decent choice provided you have enough volume for the rear wave (expecially when you consider one would need at least 4 of them).

What would be considered acceptable Vas when it comes to IB woofers of 15-18"?

Best, Mark Isn't acceptable Vas anything that you can accomodate in the attic or crawl space etc...? If I'm thinking correctly a lower Vas is a convenience for those with less volume in their back wave area.

As a result a high Vas like your 18" is just fine. The rest of the time they're being crammed into too small a space, in that instance we target a low car audio type Vas.

That's what I figured. As we all know, Vas does play a significant role in determining box size. But if there's no box...
