Greetings all, I have built a couple of IB's and am looking to build another for my new home theater to be completed 2nd week of December. I buy a ton of stuff from Parts Express and currently have a significant credit to play with. My thoughts were four of these www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=294-301The Low Rider® 18" subwoofer includes a Kevlar®-impregnated cone for increased strength, Kapton™ voice coil former for superior thermal capability, die-cast aluminum frame, and more. Huge Xmax and high power handling make this the 18" subwoofer to beat! Specifications: *Power handling: 800 watts RMS *VCdia: 4" *Le: 0.87 mH *Impedance: 8 ohms *Re: 6.21 ohms *Frequency response: 25-1000 Hz *Fs: 28.9 *SPL: 97.3 dB 1W/1m *Vas: 14.26 cu. ft. *Qms: 8.77 *Qes: 0.356 *Qts: 0.342 *Xmax: 9.6mm *Dimensions: A: 18.25", B: 16.75", C: 7". I have a couple of pro-sound amps that could run them but am concerned with the relatively high Fs and the lower Xmax...but really like the sensitivity. I have a room that has 4400 cu/ft and will be mounting off-center in the ceiling. I also already have four of the PE IB15's but could sell them pretty easily. Anyone used them or have any thoughts?

Contrary to the printed hype, 9.5mm isn't a "Huge Xmax"
This like most Peavey products is designed for PA use.
If you want 18"s wait a couple of months until the new drivers from Ascendant are released .

Actually the Dayton Titanc MKIII will displace more air for less money...

Since you already have 4 of the PE IB15's, I'd just buy 4 more. 8 IB15's will have a lot more displacement than 4 of the Peaveys. About double the displacement.
