Would this be possible to use in IB? I'm just exploring everything right now. Although I am SURE I am going to have at least 1 18" driver with at least 1500w (headroom, doesn't matter where I put the driver, I'll still have that power) in an enclosure larger than 20ft³. But seriously, how useful would this be in IB? I would think you could flatten the response to 10hz and be good with that and if you have enough displacement, 5hz. I know it's mainly used for small sealed boxes.

The primary benefit of using an LT circuit is to lower the Qtc of the sytem. Since the drivers we use have a low "Q", there's just no benefit to anything other than standard EQ.

Hey thanks for the explanation.
I guess just having the displacement there and then EQ'ing to my liking would be good.
I'm strung between an IB or an LLT..hmm.

Don't even agonize one more second over IB or LLT. Do the IB.
IB is a very easy solution to get the ultra low extension that takes all kinds of work (electrical work at the power plant especially) in an LLT.
There is absolutely no substitute for big box volume in bass reproduction. And the IB takes advantage of HUGE boxes already constructed in your dwelling.

Well I've got a problem... I don't own the house I'm living in, my parents do. I know IB rules, of course. Lol port your IB. No don't do that haha "I've broken the $100 dollar mark yee-haw haha Anyway, I'm really wanting an IB...but I don't think I can. Reasons 1) I am young enough to still be living with my parents. 2) Goes with reason one... I don't want to cut holes in the walls of my parents' house... 3) Goes with the others... It needs to be portable so I can take it when I move into my own house. Nady, Qsc, BK, Behringer...whatever haha I think I'm leaning towards the Behringer or BKA...most likely Behringer... Thanks for the help you have provided me...but sadly... I'll have to go LLT/EBS... I wanted an IB, but it's just not feasible... my parents were OK with it..but I still want to be able to take it when I move out! Thanks again for all the help, it was quite useful. I think I'll go IB next time around though." That's from my other thread. Do you see my problem? How am I going to do an IB here? I know it takes a LOT of time and work to do an LLT/EBS..but at least it'd be portable is my reasoning. I want to do an IB But how much performance am I losing in LLT? If I were in my own house, IB IB IB all the way! Any advice or suggestions?

Were I in the position where I was moving around a lot, I sure wouldn't want to be lugging around a big EBS sub.
Tube subs are susceptible to the tube 'bruising' since the sidewalls are so thin. So I'd go with box sub using 13 layer plywood construction.
