Just like to say a big thank you for all the info I found on this site, I have now built my own here in the UK and have got to say it is better than any Ive heard or owned before and I have had quite a few in the past 20 years my wife can tell you that. I have uploaded a shopping list and a few pics of my build (hopefully)

Only one question I have if anybody has come across it, is when i first switch the sub on and the receiver changes from pro logic to DTS HD Master or the like I get a very loud thump that makes you jump every time. It usually happens when the trailer finishes and then the surround sound changes for a Bluray movie.

If your amps are on a separate outlets from your receiver, that's quite possible. It's a differntial between grounds (two prong plug adaptive will fix this but are not recommended). Try to plug them into the same outlet if possible

but I only use the RCA sub outlet on the back of my receiver which goes into my Samson S coverter to balance the signal then 2 x XLRs into the back of the stereo Inuke 3000 amp. Each amp drives one 18" speaker. I have noticed if I turn the volume down when expecting the loud thump its not half as bad.

This is a gallery thread where single links to completed projects are supposed to be posted.

This isn't a thread for questions and answers about an individual build are posted, we have the 'My Projects' section of the forum for that activity.

Unfortunately the software this forum uses doesn't permit splitting threads so I can't take the last several project specific posts and move then to a new thread.

I suggest a new thread be started in the "My Projects" section of the forum and the posts from here be duplicated there, then we can continue discussion of this project.

Once that's done I'll delete the off topic posts and reopen this thread.
