Guys, Just wanna throw this out there. PE is having a buyout on these: www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=299-810 They are a 15" subwoofer on buyout for $17 a pop. They only have 7mm of xmax and per my calculations they displace about 1.19liters. So, in theory it would take 4 of these to equal the displacement of one XJ-15 for example. Now the kicker is, these things ship for a few pennies less than $18 a liter. What are the tradeoffs here? The thing I consider is running 4 of these on each side of a 6 foot tall manifold for a total displacement of 2 liters more than 4 XJ-15s at with a savings of $400. Is this feasible? Qts is quite high at 1.31. But it still wouldn't seem like it would take much to get them going. Probably would take a lot more EQ as I'm sure they are infinitely less linear than the XJ. I do have a BFD though. Any thoughts?

With only 7mm of xmax, you'll most likely tear them up the first time they try to hit some of the really low lfe tracks.
