I hope this is the right place for this thread. I tried a search but did not get a definitive answer.
I have a build thread going at the moment and have been receiving invaluable support and encouragement from this site, particularly Thomas W.
I indicated that I would like to repay that generosity financially and hopefully as a contributor in the future, but I have noticed that Thomas W has sidestepped the question, so I would like someone else to indicate the appropriate mechanism for this to occur, that would be of greatest benefit in maintaining this most excellent resource.
It is very obvious to me that Thomas W does this stuff because he is passionate about it, and very skilfully avoids any personal or site maintenance cost questions.
I hope the previous comments do not sound presumptuos (I am only a newbie). They are not meant that way.
The people I have interacted with on this site have enriched my life, and I hope that others to come after me can have the same experience.
Thankyou sincerely, Jim.

I appreciate the sentiment, but there's really nothing to 'repay'. The "Cult" exists simply to spread the word about IB subs. If people want to 'support' anything they can do so by posting about IB subs on other forums. They can place links to the IB FAQ webpage in forum threads, in their forum signatures and on their personal websites. home.comcast.net/~infinitelybaffled/index.htmlPlacing a direct link to the "Cult" forum itself can be frustrating since accessing this forum requires registration and some are reluctant to do that. Also some forums prohibit links to other forums...so a discrete link to the IB sub FAQ page is the best option. Personal websites, photo galleries, or blogs like ChrisBe's where IB projects are documented is great way to spread the word. Regarding costs, site maintenance, etc. Other than my time, there are no costs to me associated with the operation of the forum. The forum is provided and maintained by Proboards. They make revenue from the ads. The hosting for the resource pages like the FAQ's is provided as a part of my ISP package, I pay nothing extra for those....

Thankyou Thomas W, for the clear explanation. I can see why some people here have referred to you as St. Thomas I will do what I can to spread the gospel! Thanks again, Jim.

I must say, that it is really cool of you to help folks out. I have stated before that I would not have tempted an IB sub without this site. Your and others knowledge and incite are a very valuable resource. I hope in some way I can help contribute to the board in the future. As far as spreading the word, I already have a couple of friends who keep asking how my set up is coming along. Thanks Monroe
