hey guys newbie here. i wish i had found this sight years ago... i have read all the faq and have been doing my research. my room is 9h x 14.5 l x 12.0 w . i am currently running 2 12 inch velodyne subs front and rear in the middle and to 12in klipsch subs along the side walls in the middle according to the white paper. sounds pretty good. then i found this site..i was thinking of 4 ae ib subs and ep 2500 amp i would build the manifolds and have the exit on either side of the tv by the mains. the open area of the ib is an unfinished basement. i would then put the velodyne one the back wall with the other velodyne and leave the klipsch where they are and then tune accordingly would this work or is this overkill??? any thoughts would be appreciated thanks

Hi,
Given the small and almost square room I'd start with manifolds in the front and back. Give those a listen and proceed from there.
If you want the best SQ you'll sell the box subs and go only with IBs.

thanks for the input i was gonna return two of the klipsch subs but my dog ate the boxes maybe i still can otherwise i will sell them and build the ib in the front i would have to stay with boxes in the rear the only wall that shares the unfinished part of the basement is the front wall where the tv is. do you think the 4 15's in the front will be enough? from what i read the sq is superior with ib if i where to get rid of all the boxes what would you rec for the front that would still shake the room and couch? thanks for all you help

Your rooms not very big , so youshould find 4x15" will do the job nicely
