One of the attributes of IB subs seems to be their ability to play well down into the infrasonic region. Although we don’t actually hear much below 20 Hz, the pressurized vibrations provide a desirable tactile experience for movies and some music. It seems to me that an IB located in a crawl space or basement should be able to do this better than multiple large, sealed subs in the listening room (let’s just say for argument’s sake that we have plenty of power and displacement available). The alternating pressurization of the room and crawl space by the front and back waves should reinforce and enhance the vibration of the floor and provide substantially more vibration. Has anybody here experienced this?

My wall mounted IB turns the floor to (English) jelly.
It must be contagious! ;D

So a raised floor on top of a concrete slab with 10x VAS underneath would shake like crazy?
