I am in the process of renovating a 361sq foot addition into a media room (wife does not like the words Home Theater).
The addition was an in-law apartment with full amenities (bedroom<-office, full bath<-still a full bath, portrait laundry closet<- to be converted in the A/V closet with vent to outside and kitchen<- removed, dedicated 150 amp breaker panel ran from the street, half-height concrete cellar with concrete filled steel columns). Sorry for the bla, bla ,bla.
The media room is 19’ x 19’ x 8’, the half-height cellar is 40’ x 20’ 3’. The half-height cellar does have a small opening about 3’ x 3’ that leads into the main cellar.
I would like to install IB to get a little more feel than my 10” 1000W B.A.S.H. sub can produce. I was hoping that some would be able to help me out with some of the basic to get me headed in the right direct based on my room specifications.

Hi,
A square one of the most problematic acoustic spaces. Plan on using lots of bass traps. Super-Chunk traps should be used in the corners.
A manifold or two on the floor will do fine for a nice IB. What you do and how you do this depends on the joist spacing.
