Hi there.
I'm going to have a go at an IB sub, but am limited to positions I can install this. I have yet to run REW, but to be honest I only really have two places it can go. One place I had in mind was behind my projector screen, It would be about 8" from the screen. Does anyone know if this would be a problem. Could the screen affect the bass when down, might it cause the screen to ripple, waft about?
If any one could advise me here it would be very welcome.
Thanks

No problems as long as you're using a AT screen.

Wouldn't most projector screens be acoustically transparent to sub bass?

That's not the point.
At 8" of separation unless an AT screen is used the screen will move from the pressure wave off the sub.

Cheers Thomas. Out of curiosity, what distance positioned behind the screen would you think it shouldn't affect? My screen is positioned 42" of the back wall, it has 24" of free space each side, and 42" of free space below when down.
Having said that it does looks like I will be installing it to the far left hand side now, as this is the easiest place to install, it's the highest point in my loft 'sloping roof' and hopefully wont effect the screen their. I'm slightly worried it wont be central, but I have seen pic's of installs placed to one side so it must work their.
