I LOVE this sub. It feels like the house is moving at times. I have zero criticism. So why am I back asking for advice? I am buying a new house. The good news is it has a dedicated home theater. The bad news is I'll have to be creative to find a place for the sub.

Here is the theater.

Behind that screen is a 3 x14 closet that runs the width of the theater and is basically an equipment room. A stair case takes up about half of that closet. Above is about 10" to the rafters. The back is cinder block and the right side is a hall. My thinking is that I can put the sub in the equipment room facing into the theater and then I just need to make sure that we open the door to the equipment room and close the door to the theater when we watch a movie. The room outside of those doors is giant.

What do you guys think? Please don't tell me it won't work and I have no options...

BTW how much drop is there in the ceiling?
