I have been simulating on BassBoxPro and have been simulating some drivers with Qts ~.45 and some with higher VAS.
When I simulated, I never chose the highest input volume available with the highest fill/stuffing. I measured the cavity the IB would be backfiring into which is approx 10000 L, so I entered 10000L.
In the case of the very high VAS driver , the Qtc still was .49, yet the 10X VAS or Even 4X VAS rules weren't satisfied. What would be the problem(s) with an IB sub where the Qtc is .49, yet the VAS is only 3X that of the drivers total VAS?
Is Qtc the more important result even if the VAS rule isn't met?
RE: About pro sound drivers not being recommended; if within Xmax on the simulations of a driver with 14mm Xmax would you still advise against? This is for music mainly , so the 10Hz bass is not the priority. Would the pro sound be ok in a manifold?
Most other driver combinations get close to the 10X VAS total. The one exception is intriguing, so I thought I would post.

Not knowing the specifics of the drivers and seeing the sims it's impossible to comment The question as asked makes no sense. Pretty hard comment having only the following info "it's a pro sound driver, it has 14mm of Xmax"
