New to IB, considering attic setup

I am new to the world of IB, but I am excited to hear the possibilities. I currently have a bunch of def tech equipment that I bought a few years ago at an incredible price. I am looking to upgrade and also save some floor space (for the wife's approval also). The current ht area is small, but the future area shares a wall and is larger. How would say 2 fi 18 ib3's compare to my current super cube 1 and would the attic be a decent place for ib? My place is 1700 sq ft with 8 ft ceilings, so the attic is huge, but I don't know how the sound quality would compare.
p.s. the current receiver is a Yamaha rx-v2700 and I plan on building some towers for the front too. Thanks, and I can't wait to start remodeling the ht setup

Hi,

In terms of output levels and sound quality, an IB built with a pair of Fi 18"s will eat the SuperCube for lunch..... yes really.

Attic installation is a good way to go....
