Ok, i'm posting this for a friend of mine. he's a quadriplegic from a motorcyle acident, so i'm helping him out with a surround sound setup. right now he has a pretty wimpy surround in a box type philips setup, but he's just not happy with it. i was talking to him about getting a 7.2 setup and he loves the idea of it. now, the only part i don't really know about are the subs. his room is small and his bed takes up most of the floor space and has a fan that can get loud at times, so i remembered something about infinite baffle subs that you can mount in the ceiling and have them just open to the attic above his room, so his bass will be able to just cover the room now, he is going to have these installed by a pro hopefully so it'll be a nice clean install with just a connection jack at the wall, but i have no idea what a good brand is that is going to sound good for movies and music the receiver we are probably going to go with is www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882115274but the only subs i really found were these www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-455now, i have heard a few things about them, but i really don't know what a good place to buy them is, or if they will be good for movies and music and such. also, 15" seems a little big for a ceiling install, and there is no faceplate to them so it would just be an exposed cone hanging there if i'm not mistaken... can anyone help me out?

Hi, Start by reading the FAQ pages and look at the picture gallery to see examples of various installations. The design of the PE IB15 is a bit dated. What's the budget for this sub?

Hi, Start by reading the FAQ pages and look at the picture gallery to see examples of various installations. The design of the PE IB15 is a bit dated. What's the budget for this sub? looking to spend about $150-$200 per sub. we are thinking of making one box, in the ceiling, and putting a central air grate over it. what we were thinking is 2 of those 15" subs, and a 7.1 receiver, then use an 800 to 1000 watt 2 channel amp for the subs so they are synced. then we would just get some home theater speakers to flesh it out EDIT, i just thought an an issue, where can i get an amp that can run these 2 subs and runs on house current?
