gday from Sydney everyone... I've got a small room i use as my theater 2.5 x 2.8 M and would like to get as much off the floor as possible... I can easily achieve the desired bass levels using a JBL ported 8" HT sub ( small room) and my custom ported 12" just gets way too low and nasty sounding in this room... so my question to you all.... these speakers/subs www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=CW2199&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1008#4 are easy and cheap for me to buy local... can i expect a decent output from 4 of these in a manifold in the roof? i know that 15's + are preferred but they get harder to find at a decent price and worried the ouput might get a little outta hand.(mainly going to be for movies...)... i'm a DIY'er on a buget ( i know nothing new)

Sorry, I don't know anything about those drivers.
I know Jaycar has been used in IBs before, but which ones I'm not sure.

i guess i should elaborate... porting and box design of my current sub isn't that good and sounds like a mess... im after a linear frequency response no to worried about going loud im chasing clean hence thinking about IB.... I think the plate amp in my sub is 500 odd rms @ 8ohm and easily handles 4ohm so i was thinking i just use the plate amp for now with 4 x 4ohm 12's..... 1x 12" in a 3M x 2.8M room will not do correct?? id defiantly need more drivers? ?

Jaycar doesn't provide Xmax, or Vd parameters, as a result we have no idea how much air these drivers displace. Looking at the picture it appears they have limited stroke and are primarily designed to function as woofers not subwoofers. Will they work satisfactorily for your project? Sorry but there's no way to know given the limited data available.
