Hi guys. I have a setup already setup with 2 18" elemental designs 19ov.2 subs. I really like it but need a little more authority. My room is 27 by 14". The storage room that I'm using for my Ib subs is 27 X4 feet with an average ceiling height of 3 feet (it slopes down).
Would I be better to modify my current manifold which is located at the front of the room, near the front stage (off to the side) or would I be better to do two manifolds of 2 subs each, one at the front of the room and one at the rear?
I have plenty of power as it's powered by a inuke 6000 dsp. Both manifolds would see the same power as I'd run 2 off each channel.

Good questions.
Given the room dimensions, length almost double the width, you might run into some really strange nulls in the middle of the room using front and rear IBs.
I'd do a room crawl if you have access to an existing portable sub, see if one placement sounds noticeably better than another.

good point. I forgot about that. Just found a guy with several more of these subs for sale. If I went with an receiver like the denon 4000 which has the audessy sub eq for each of 2 sub channels, would that be something I could tune for/get worked out using their auto fix?

Do you have any nulls in the room? If it sounds good in the current location just change the manifold to add two more. Another option would be to simply add two more in a second manifold up front on the other side.
