Side or Front and Rear Mounted IB Configs

After the recommendation from Thomas, I am starting a new thread on side and Front and Rear IB configs. My plan is to do either a small front and small rear mounted IB config or a left and right mid way point mounted IB in my living room. I figure if using front and rear box style subs work, then so wouldn't IB configs. I spent many years in the A/V field (IT now) and have to actually say I never had a customer want IB but after listening to a friend's..... I am wanting it done now 
I know NCAUDIO has done something like this and I am wondering if he could post some pics of the final setup. And if there are others that have to also compromise on a setup like this out there, chime in. I learned a long time ago that nothing is written in stone with how things can and should work.
