Hello, Was looking at the ficaraudio site and it looks like they have redesigned the IB318. Has anyone used these yet? I have two of the older designed ones and was thinking about adding a couple more. Would mixing the two designs be a problem. www.ficaraudio.com/product/ib3-series-ib318-v2/

Contacted Fi and they do not recommend mixing drivers. No shock there. Got lucky and was able to get two of the older designs while they still had the parts to build some.

Interesting, I was going to suggest you ask them if they had enough parts to build some of the original ones...

Been a few years since i've replied but I hear the old IB 18s are pretty incredible;). I've made a few changes to my system recently (to atmos with a new SC-85 Elite receiver from the old 7.1 1015tx pioneer standard receiver) and pushed my old FI IB 18s hard the other day. These things are even more incredible with lossless signals that the old 1015 could not supply due to no HDMI ability and here I am 10 years later with zero problems out of them. I think FI does some custom work, ask if they can build the old woofers.
