First time posting here. My HT is the majority of a converted garage, around 6000 cubic feet. I have a single 18" PSA vented sub currently, but am looking at something more. I was curious if anyone had tried the Stereo Integrity IB-24 yet, and if so, would like to report on it. I am roughly bouncing the cost of two 24`s vs six of the FI 18". I realize this isn't quite an apples to apples comparison, but the cost is within $50. Any input or opinion is appreciated. The use is 100% HT. Thanks.

Hi,
24" drivers are a pain to work with.... they're so big and heavy it's way to easy to damage them unless there's always two people around for logistics. Also they're SO expensive if they have to be serviced.
Why 6-18"s? 6000 cu ft may sound big but it isn't really all that large a space. With 10' ceilings (that's what my garage has) it's only 600 sq ft.
I'd think 4-18" wouild be plenty but go with 6 if you must.

Thanks for the reply. The odd quantity of 6 was used as it was the closest match, dollar wise, to two of the SI-24`s (this is also my ballpark budget for drivers). Currently the SI is $799 and the FI is $274.
For the upgrade I`m on the fence between an IB setup and two 21" Full Marty cabinets. Putting the subs in the attic and using a manifold is highly appealing, and may be the deciding factor. I will keep doing research in the next few months and pull the trigger in the spring. Thanks to all who made this site and forum possible, going through all the threads is a gold mine.
