Manifold opening to cover or not to cover?

Hi

Would like to know is it better to cover the manifold openings on my ceiling with a speaker cloth material or to just leave it open ?

I feel when its open with no grille i can feel the air coming out easier but does it make a difference to the sound ?

Expanding on this further, I'd suggest leaving it wide open if you sense a difference.

Agreed, dBspl measurement wise, it's not going to matter.

However, I've been exploring the velocity component of the listening experience, and there's absolutely an appreciable difference brought about via velocity vis-à-vis merely pressure.

It's nothing new. Saying I'm exploring ... I'm simply following the path those before me.
