I'm not really impressed with the new stuff. Certainly not with the prices.
Bring back the Avalanche. Hell in comparison to what they offer now and the new prices, the 18" avalanche was a deal at $399.

Has anyone said anything about them yet?

I'll reserve judgement till I actually hear one or get input from someone who has. I've got 2 of the Arsenal 12's on order.

I'm glad I got my Atlas 15s when I did. This new lineup is looking grim. What about that $200 18" IB sub? Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it.

From what I hear, the Assault series has been cancelled since the Assassin series achieved the same purpose. I translate that to mean that they would be competing against each other.
There were plans for a ~$200 Assault 18 incher. If an Assassin 18 were made, it would likely end up around 3.7 Liters of displacement. An okay deal, but not a screaming bargin if the price was $200. Now if there's a preorder special ...
The Arsenals seem to want enormous boxes (and ultra low tuning). IB is about the only HT application that makes sense. The Alliance 18 wants an even bigger box than the Avalanche 18 did. No problem for an IB, but that's moving in the wrong direction for any normal HT app. In both cases, the displacement-per-dollar ratio is ... uninspiring. Surprising moves from Ascendant.

Titch, They're wired "high-Q" (2 ohm coil open) and then parallel-series for a 4 ohm load on my plate amp.
Formica, Wasn't $400 the regular price for the Avalance 18? And it had 33% more displacement than the Alliance does for the same price. This is what I was referring to ... not the closeout prices.

Yes the original list price for the Ave 18 was $399. They had 27mm of one-way Xmax

Can anyone tell me the ohm load of each coil on the Avalanche 18's? I can't remember for the life of me. I thought it was 2ohms per coil so they could be wired in series for a 4ohm load to the amp, but I honestly can't remember.

Probably great for car audio, but not a good choice for our needs.
