Well, someone had to do it and it might as well be me. Just ordered 4 of the Ascendant Audio Arsenal 15's to replace my 4 IB15's (sold em). They're going in my ceiling IB and will be powered off a Crown XLS-402. They should ship tomorrow and be here next week!

bricor,
I'm trying to make a decision on which/how many drivers to buy for my own IB. Just wondering what motivated you to switch, is it tighter, louder bass due to the lower Qes/Xmax?
What size is your room?

My room is about 16x17x10. I'm pretty happy with the IB15's and the move to the Arsenals was kind of an accident. I install HT's as a part time gig and have been doing IB's for customers lately. I had already quoted a customer month's ago for an IB using the IB15'S and now his house is almost done and I needed to start rounding up the parts. Since the IB15's aren't available and that's what I had quoted him, I offered up mine. I don't want to be down myself so....the Arsenals are available and should give more output so I thought why not give them a try. They should be here on Wed. so hopefully by Thursday I can post some thoughts.

I did receive them and got them installed. Unfortunately, I also have a 4 week old baby at home which has kept me from errr, shall I say, putting them to the test! I've done a little bit but not as much as I would have liked. I did take some measurements from 20-160hz and they measure almost identical to the IB15's so there doesn't appear to be any meaureable difference (simply talking in room response here) I did have to re-adjust the sub levels in my pre/pro to make the Aresenals match up with my mains (took the 20-160 measurement after doing that). They blend in very well with my mains. They are more capable than the IB15's. I did a quick test of The Incredibles cave rocket launch scene and they can handle it better than the IB15's. The IB15's would strain a bit at high levels whereas the Arsenal's played the same scene at the same level without sounding like they were straining. Hard to explain but I think the IB15's were bottoming out or something as it wasn't clean sounding, powerful bass. So far, that's about the only thing I've been able to test on.
