I'm in the process of ordering 4 of the MJ-18s. I'll be using them in a manifold with an EP2500.
Question: Are there any advantages to ordering the 4 ohm vs the 8 ohm?
Thanks in advance, Bob

you can wire them to differnt inpedances four would let you do something like 1, 2 and 8 ohms if they were 4 ohm and 2, 4and 16 if they were 8ohm... i think..

I was thinking I could use either, just didn't know if one was preferable? I think I'll just go with the 8 Ohm unless someone chimes in.
I'll be close to Red Deer in a couple weeks, visiting some friends in Olds..... I'm actually having the MJ-18s shipped there to save some $$$

8 Ohm parallel pairs make a useful 4 Ohm load for most amps.
4 Ohm pairs must be 2 Ohm or 8 Ohm.
2 Ohm is too low for many amps particularly if bridged. Which equates to only 1 Ohm per channel.
8 ohms is an easy load but doesn't extract the most power from an amp. Still provides 120dB+ for me.
4 x 4 Ohms can be run series-parallel of course but that's still 2 Ohms per channel if the amp is bridged. Though Thomas will say that this doesn't matter with IBs which are easier loads than electric guitars.
