Hi Guys,
I'm going from the single sub output on my reciever to four amps,
(one per driver) with my BFD in between.
How do you guys split the input to the amps? Do you do it in front of the BFD or after?

It depends on whether you want to have two different EQ curves or just one. If you want just one EQ curve then send the single signal to the BFD and split the signal afterwards from one channel.
If you wanted two different curves you could split the signal to emulate a stereo pair and then use the outputs of two channels of the BFD to have different EQ curves for the amps, either two with one curve two with the other or a 3 and 1 combination.

If you do want to use both input filters on the BFD while keeping the same filter set for both, you can set the BFD so one filter set will be mirrored across both channels. The only situation I can think of where this may be beneficial is if you had two amps driving your IB, where you would want the same filter set but two outputs. The same thing could be achieved with a splitter cable though, so it's not a particularly usefull feature. Just thought I would point that out  |
