Word from Deon B. is that there won't be any new AE-IB15"s or AV15"s for 2-3 months. As of a couple days ago they had 6 AV15's available.
Rumor is that Adire's having problems getting product from the plant in Chile. There are people waiting more than a year to get drivers reconed. So unfortunately Adire is no longer a viable supplier for our needs.
The time line on the bigger Ascendant Audio drivers is approx 2 months...
SoundSplinter is out of their dual 4 ohm 15" for a month or more, they have the dual 2 ohm version.
Oaudio is having a pre-order sale on their 15" TC2+
Parts Express has their usual 15" drivers available. At the CES Darren K. said they'll be offering a 15" version of the new RS woofers. It won't be an Xmax leader though since the current 10"-12" have 14mm. This driver probably won't be available until late spring.

Just for fun I wrote a email to a chinese manufacturer of subwoofer drivers, I gave them the desired specs (14-20 Fs, 25+mm xmax, 0,4-0,7 Qts), I got a very fast reply were they said " this is okey for for us" They say they can make a sample driver if Im willing to pay for it and the shipping, its tempting, but to risky for my wallet I guess.

So how do the 15er's compare between the sound splinter, Oaudio tc2+, and arsenal 15?

It's a little difficult to make comparisons against a nonexistant prototype.

Lots of promises and no deliveries.
Seems like the Dayton's are going to be the best buy for a while. As long as you have room for a large volume of them I guess they'll do the trick. At their price point though you can buy 10x of them compared to 4x of the SoundSplinters.

zbigb,
It sounded like it wouldnt take long to make a sample, and they havent given any price yet, my guess is the freight will cost more than the sample.

Thanks for the info about the AE IB15's.
I haven't been around here for a while but I came back specifically to find out what happend.
After having my IB hooked up for about a year I finally used my BFD and got the upgrade bug.
My basement is way too big for just four IB15's and I am ready to buy another four. I'll wait.
